I have a brand new mysql docker. I created a new table:
CREATE TABLE FENWDB (
FEN varchar(90) BINARY,
# Number of white wins
W INTEGER,
# Number of black wins
B INTEGER,
# Number of draws
D INTEGER,
PRIMARY KEY (FEN)
);
My file is 1.7GB, and:
> wc games.pgn.index.fens # 25387343
> head -n1 games.pgn.index.fens
rnr3k1/p2qppbp/1p4p1/8/3PP3/B4N2/P3QPPP/1R3RK1 w - - 1 16 0 1 1
All other rows are very similar. My loading script:
USE Explorer;
LOAD DATA INFILE '/tmp/games.pgn.index.fens'
INTO TABLE FENWDB
FIELDS TERMINATED BY 't'
ENCLOSED BY '"'
LINES TERMINATED BY 'n'
IGNORE 1 ROWS;
For some reason, this operation has been taking a long time, for about 12 hours and still not complete. I have a 120GB RAM powerful server machine.
Is this normal for a 1.7GB data file?
