Today I just added a column to a very large table on a MariaDB server. It couldn't do it and then got corrupted.

Trying to start the database engine with innodb_force_recovery parameter didn't work. I had to switch to a slave server.

Note: Tried procedures like this with no use: https://mariadb.com/resources/blog/get-rid-of-orphaned-innodb-temporary-tables-the-right-way/

What are other options on recovery for Mysql&MariaDB?
Are there any tools you know which work, and you got results, maybe like Percona?

Thanks
