I am working with Oracle 12.2 Enterprise Edition on Windows 10, ArcMap 10.6 and Anconda 2018.12 with Python 3.7.

When connecting from ArcMap to the Oracle DB I need the 32bit Instant Client basic, whilst when connection from Python using the cx_oracle package, I need the 64bit Instant Client. So for now (set it up just this week) I just changed the whole instanclient12_2 folder on C:/, however this is just plain annoying and I am sure this will lead to problems and headaches in the future.

Is there a way to specify which application should use which instanclient and have two folders like 'C:/instantclient_12_2_32' and 'C:/instanclient/12_2_64'?
